13. Is pasta fattening?

The myth that pasta is fattening has triumphantly been shattered. It has now been scientifically proved that pasta is no more fattening than other kinds of food.

Pasta is only fattening if it is accompanied by heavy sauces, butter or fresh cream (full fat), if we eat it in large quantities and very frequently. When pasta is served with simple sauces, vegetables, lean meat, fish or low-fat cheese, it is a tasty low-calorie dish and, above all, healthy.
